Recycling Technologies transforms residual plastic waste into valuable wax and petrochemical feed stock. Their mission is to add 10 million tonnes of recycling capacity globally by 2027.
Recycling Technologies has engineered a modular and scalable machine - the RT7000 - to convert plastic waste, which currently cannot be recycled, into Plaxx® - a valuable hydrocarbon product. Plaxx® is a low sulfur oil, cut into four fractions. These have applications in multiple industrial sectors and can be sold individually or combined, depending on the drives of the local marketplace. Recycling Technologies won ‘The Plastics Industry Awards’, 2017 for their Plaxx® product.
The RT7000 is sized to be integrated into existing waste infrastructure, such as recycling centres, diverting residual plastic waste from landfill, incineration or export. It consists of modules, each built into a standard 20ft (6.1 m) ISO shipping frame for ease of mass-production and can be deployed worldwide via land or sea and enabling rapid on-site installation.
Bridging the gap between the waste sector and the petrochemical sector and collaborating with the entire plastics value chain, the RT7000 technology can close the loop for plastics, moving away from traditional linear models (produce, use, discard), and transitioning into a circular model (produce, use, recycle and reproduce).
