Organix Solutions provides a wide range of premium biopolymer films designed for a growing number of compostable and biodegradable products. They provide industries such as waste, agriculture, and food service with innovative, sustainable solutions promoting long-term growth while reducing environmental impact.
Beginning in 2012 with a 100% compostable bag, durable enough to withstand compaction in a conventional garbage truck, Organix Solutions built a now-patented Organix Co-Collection Method for recycling organic waste (such as food scraps) without additional trucks, routes, or plastic carts. Their Co-Collection Method is used in over 50 cities and counting, saving large municipalities large capital costs while emitting far less greenhouse gas emissions.
In agriculture, their Soil Biodegradable Mulch Film meets all the crop-supporting performance characteristics of conventional plastic film, but requires no removal or disposal upon harvest. Instead, their TUV-Certified Organix A.G. Film is eaten and digested by existing microbes in the soil, therefore fully soil biodegrading into biomass, water, and CO2.
Their multi-layer compostable and films for food service packaging are created around each individual customer’s requirements, meeting stringent food safety specifications, package functionality and design. They connect and collaborate seamlessly with the entire packaging value chain to deliver customized products quickly and cost effectively.
Organix Solutions designs, experiments and innovates constantly. They have built a culture that promotes and rewards smart discovery risk taking. They collaborate and test new materials with the following institutions and laboratories:
- Washington State University
- University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture
- Ajwa Laboratories
- U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center, Center for Advanced Materials and Polymers (CAMP)
